In the last 3 years I've been working in a very ambitious project: building the metropolitan subway system of the city of Bilbao (Spain). I usually show my progress in other forums focused for spanish railways (railsim.es) but I want to show you how my work is going on. Here are some technical facts:
Stations: 49; among 31 of these, subterranean and only one elevated.
Total lenght: 30 miles.
Gauge: metric (3 ft 3 + 3⁄8 in)
Maximum unevenness: 5.9%
Maximum speed: the trains can reach a service speed up to 50 mph.
Type of electrification: overhead wires (there are some sections with overhead rigid catenary).
