I was wondering if there is still any interest in the New Portage Freight Route extension of HSC? I started it a while back, but got such negative feedback about myself that I figured anything I would do would be unacceptable. I don't want to hear anything about me, just about whether the route is something the community wants. Thanks.

That's quite an interesting trackplan. Would love to see how it connects with the existing HSC route in-game.

Take a look at the video I posted, it was an afterthought.

I believe the HSC and the Pittsburg Division (Old Middle Division of PRR) are NS (Norfolk Southern). The New Portage Freight Route is a thing of the past, I believe it was closed to traffic in the late 1970s. It was built originally to divert freight from the HSC to allow for a more efficient way to handle the freight and passengers. The route started in the east just west of Huntingdon at Petersburg and in the west near the Allegheny Tunnels. At Hollidaysburg there was a wye that allowed traffic to run to Altoona, this is shown in the video.
Here's another video showing the east branch at Petersburg:

If it means I can have somewhere else to run Darlan's stock instead of just HSC I'm all for it.

As far as I know it would be HSC, and some RailWanderer assets, and DSGDDR assets if you want to run those.

Go for it! We have plenty of power and rolling stock to run on it. That was some very interesting railroading, back in the day.

Ok, Thanks for the feedback. I might just start a new thread in the Freeware WIP section for this route and make the updates available through a link to One Drive. Its much simpler for me that way.
