Adding AP Weather to custom routes

Unread postby CSXAC60CW » Fri Aug 09, 2019 11:25 pm

Hello all, another curiosity question !!**sorry**!!
but I've tried almost everything I can think of to be able to put the awesome looking skies from the AP Weather Mod: https://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com/ind ... uct_id=197 into my own custom route.
All I know is that my route folder does not have a time and day folder, and the routes template is from Marias Pass, I've put the mod into the time and day of the Marias pass route and it works, as well as other payware routes.
I don't know what to do at this point? I also have the RW Enhancer and AlpenFrieghts simple weather mod installed so not sure if this has anything to do with it !*don-know!*
I just know it's possible
Any help is appreicated

The Time Of Day files are linked at two positions: In the RouteProperties.xml and in the route template.

The best thing you should do is to copy the route template from Marias Pass to your folder and edit the sky section with RW Tools and replace the existing sky blueprints with the AP ones. This change also makes your route a bit more independent so that changes on Marias Pass not also make changes on your route.

When you have finished the template, edit your RouteProperties.xml where you change the path to the route template and the sky sections. Thats it.

IIRC the AP Manual comes with self explain on how to apply this pack on any route.
