Are all scenery assets in the Kuju, DTG, DSC folders considered 'freeware' or 'built-in,' such that they can be used in our routes?

I want to avoid payware dependencies for my route.

Kuju yes DTG has a huge amount of payware so not sure what you are talking about and who is DSC?

He most likely means RSC and yes that is payware also. All that is built in is in the Kuju folders. To get other freeware stuff, you have to go around the net looking for it, or you could grab the assets from a route that is freeware only like the NERR or the Lafayette route and others.

Was the Academy folder in DTG a Payware, I thought it was free with the TS2016/7 version? Anyway, the Gentleman wants to start here in the file library for freeware scenery assets and build up his collection, the more he obtains the more choices available, the RCAP is a good starter and take it from there, there is the huge pack from John Lippai as well, and download all of the freebie routes with included scenery folders from everybody and you're off to a flying start.

Thanks for the replies. To clarify, for example Sherman Hill comes with TS2017, which I got 'free' as an upgrade from 2016 and so on, but the Sherman Hill assets are not considered as 'paid for' and therefore something I can use in my route? Other players will also have Sherman Hill from their TS2017.

No your wrong there, Sherman Hill is payware and so is the NEC and probably the other one. You have to go way back to the first RW to see what is default. It is in the Kuju folders. Almost everything is payware now coming from DTG.

Ok. I never bought Sherman Hill. It came with the upgrade to TS2017, which was automatic. Therefore I thought it was now 'builtin.' Looks like I will have to go back to my route and disable DTG assets.
