Hi guys I hope you can help me with this as I haven't been able to solve it.

First, here is what I am trying to do. Using an invisible traffic spline as my reference for my offset, I want to add a track spline to the offset.

B) I can do this process in my testing route, but not in the route it is intended for. What happens is after using the selection tool on the traffic spline I loose the ability to see or place any track rules on the offset, even after preselecting the tracks rules before I start the process. Either way, the track rules disappear when selecting the offset tool. In the test route all works well.

3) What are my options for correcting this problem?

Have you checked all the needed Provider/Product filters? Did the route you want to edit somehow got locked in the editor? These are things I sometimes forget when starting to edit things on routes.

I usually use the offset tool the other way around -- first tracks and then all other lofts/roads that need to be offset from the tracks. That seems to work reliably, maybe also in your case?

Thanks Michael, the route seems to be unlocked, I did figure it out. The reason it worked in the other routes is because all the other routes had track splines already established. Being my new route is bare bones and nothing else I thought I would try laying a small piece of track and trying the process the way I had done it in my Test route. It totally worked, so when using the offset process to lay parallel splines/lofts like roads and other non-track splines with no other scenery, then one needs to at least have one piece of track established to be able to use the offset process based on non-track splines. The reason I need to base the offsets off a non-track spline is I am making a road with track imbedded into the road. The track is not the center of the construction, but being the traffic spline is, then I need make my offsets from the traffic spline, track, road, and sidewalk splines.

I usually don't give up until I have exhausted all avenues, I was hoping to find a quick resolution so I could get on my way with making my route. Thanks again Michael for your response.
