Google Earth Pro is what we are using. Those images are nice and crisp and a good reason we have got as far as we have with our route. There are many spots where we laid track that was "Best Guess" due to blurry spots using the static maps. Both of us have adjusted settings and that has helped but it's still hard to see where the track goes in some spots thus we refer to GE and lay track(s) the best we can.
It may be a graphics card issue.... Both my friend and I have middle of the road computers. HP Pavilion on my end, and my friend has some sort of hybrid Mac/Windows computer. Both have middle of the line graphics cards. (I would have to look up what I have if anyone wants to know.)
We are making due with the "system" (if you can call it that) we have come up with for laying track on this route. Not the best, but it does get the job done. Just at a much slower, and many times annoying pace.
