editor manuals

Unread postby gwgardner » Fri Nov 11, 2016 12:13 pm

I've been around Railworks and Train Simulator for a while, but I'm old. I forget things. I've looked at the manuals folder, but there's nothing there in depth on route editing. Is there somewhere I can go to get to the nitty-gritty of route editing?

There are some techy PDFs in Railworks/dev/Docs. Not sure if anything is about route editing though.

Gary,
There are also a lot of pretty good u-tube videos about several different topics even tho us old guys hate them on principal understanding that the written word is much better for explaining things since it is much easier to re-read a sentence or paragraph than to try to find the place on a video where you might have missed something.

Amen to that, especially if the written version includes illustrations.

I just found the 'developer docs' in the RWA file library. I think that's what I've needed.

Right off the bat I see in one of the docs, that I should not have spaces in the folder names of my provider and source! I'm assuming this particular doc is out of date, because my old route Cimarron Pacific has a space in the product folder name.

They are all very badly out of date, but the concepts are still the same so they are still very useful.
