As a side project i am currently working on making an abandoned looking railroad i'm calling the C&S (codence and southern). The back drop is coastal oregon in the 21st century and the C&S is struggling to survive. With the last remaining locomotives C&S is trying to create more revenue and rebuild. The road is currently in disarray and if something is not done soon the tracks will rot right out from under the locomotives. The inspiration on is from Gustavtime's abandoned railroad series. I am trying to make this as detailed as possible but i would like to know how much interest there is in routes like this. Here are a couple of screen shots of what has been start.

I have a nearby railroad who is surviving on one customer. New England Southern doesn't have tracks that bad, though.
The work you have looks pretty great!

I know this is a WIP, but could I suggest adding some background scenery? Trees, mountains (Maybe), that kind of thing?

I have been working on this route a little lately and i have to say this route is awsome. This is by far the best route i have ever detailed, which is also why this route will take so long. New things i have done are, i added a sawmill for the lumber industry, i have change the track bed texture, and am now using the RECAP community asset pack. Another big thing that been done is that i think i have finally figured out what the terrain will be like. Previously i had no idea if i was going to have coastal hills or coastal plains, well after a trip back to the wonderful Oregon coast i have decided i want to do a mix. This will give me what i want from both, and i also checked out the Coos Bay link railroad. Recently under new owner ship this company has some of the most unique track in Oregon and is one of the most beautiful as well.
Anyway here's some pics !!*ok*!!
