TS2016 route image change

Unread postby gwgardner » Tue Aug 30, 2016 11:53 am

Forgive me if this is old info, but I just found it.

To change the little route image used on the TS2016 menus, go to the routeinformation folder for the route, and replace the 256x128 pixel image.png file.

Fort Worth 1925 - about 95% of the trackwork done, scenery just beginning. It started out with me simply wanting to model the Texas & Pacific Yard there, since my great-grandfather was an engineer on the T&P Cannon Ball Express out of Fort Worth. He died in 1926. I also knew that my grandfather was a fireman on the Fort Worth & Denver there, and another great-grandfather was a 'car washer.' Turned out there were a few other RRs in Fort Worth at that time, including

Texas & Pacific
Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe
Chicago, Rock Island, and Gulf
Fort Worth & Denver - 'The Denver' as my granddad called it
Missouri, Kansas, Texas 'The Katy'
Houston & Texas Central
International & Great Northern
Fort worth & Rio Grande
St. Louis & San Francisco 'Frisco'
St. Louis & Southwestern 'Cotton Belt'
Fort Worth Beltway RR
Fort Worth Union RR

I have included all of them in the route - it's a switching route - along with their nine separate turntables, eight roundhouses, and ten yards.

Oh, and the North Texas Traction Railway 'The Interurban.

It's been a real history lesson doing the trackwork.' Attached is one major source, and then there are thirty or so more docs I've found, from aerial photos to insurance company maps.

Yes, I posted links to all 3 routes down the middle strip. Couldn't post a link to Ft. Worth as it is not released.

Phorum Peninsula is history I'm afraid. Unlikely to ever return.

I'd like to get that but RW discontinued Phorum Peninsula.

In the C&P thread, the author notes this:
[NOTE: The route 'requires' assets from the now unavailable Phorum Penninsula route, which was once payware. It can be run without that route's assets, thus causing a few missing scenery items and a couple of missing buildings.

So that means there is not really that much progress documented on a topic. Hopefully more work is to come. Can't wait to see T&P and downtown FTW!
