Rails of Missouri

I have started a new route I call "Rails of Missouri". It includes The Rock Island, Frisco, Union Pacific, BNSF, MKT, Kansas City Southern, and the Missouri & North Arkansas. It has both early steam routes and modern routes. It has both passenger and frienght routes. It is in the early stages. There is a few humps in the track that needs to be molded better. There is one flaw at Kansas City that crashes the game. The location is in the read me file. I also included the logmate files. I packaged only the route and my asset folder. You will have to make your own scenarios. The link is below. You can do anything you like with it.

Think it would be great, but you should replace the Marias Pass vegetation with 3D Trains Vegetation, that way it would be freeware friendly for all and everyone wouldn't see missing trees.

By the way, my name for credits is spelled as Jonathan.

If you need some more classic era buildings, I'd be happy to build them for you.

Yes, I would love to see a freeware route that doesn't need any payware, except for maybe the RWA route assets, I don't see anything against those assets.

Also, don't forget about BD Workshop, they have some nice new freeware bridges.

Sorry I missed spelled your name. I tried to correct it. It should be ok now.
I'll try to replace the payware assets. It's going to take a while. Most of the grass is payware.
Thank you!

I think this route would look great when done.

Of course, it doesn't really matter to me how my name is spelled however.

Hmm, rails of Missouri. Will there be the KC union station? I've been down there before and it's right next to some tracks!

Yes, There is the Union Station. Amtrak is using part of it. Right now that is the area that is crashing at least on my computer. That is where I want to use Jonathan's skyscrapers. There is 4 or 5 tracks in front of Union Station that leads to a large BNSF yard and a Union Pacific yard.

I'll have to build some more skyscrapers pretty soon, it has been a while since I've did any.

Also on RWA I have a lot of classic assets and a lot of vehicles.

I recently released some custom assets and custom cars with the O'Dell Traction Co Traction route, you can also use those assets if you want as well.

Also, any pictures of that union station and the immediate area around it.

Yeah, I've seen. Union Pacific runs by the station with its double stacks, but majority of the time I saw BNSF coal trains, which means past union station is a possible power plant.

Thank you Jonathan, I'll do what I can to add those assets.
Zek - about 5 miles away is Hawthorn Power Plant. It exploded at least twice in it's history.

Had a few spare hours to kill and thought I would look at this Route...I have downloaded the rwp file twice because I have an issue. It's all black, trying to run scenarios, edit the route...etc..
Everything works and appears to be there and RW_Tools says there are no issues but it is all just black. It looks like there is no environment, skydome.....weird. I can faintly see signals, signs and the 2d map shows that it looks okay?
Yes, I checked my other Routes, did a game verify....all is fine except this Route.
Any ideas from the author or expert Route builders would be appreciated

Have you tried changing the weather? If you go into the xml it will tell you what it's trying to see but just trying a couple of different ones is easy.

I already had tried changing the texturing, nothing....had a go at your weather option, nothing....swapped around the combo, nothing...
Went back to original xml settings and tried your weather idea with another selection...BINGO
Got rid of the blackness...now the game crashes at start up. It locks the whole computer up..... **!!bang!!**
Thanks muchly for your help Buzz.. !!*ok*!!

EDIT: I think I know how to fix it properly..." for me "....uninstall and get rid of it.

I'm sorry your having problems. I did not change anything with the textures or the weather. In fact all settings are default. I did not do any scripting and I used RTools to set it up. I'm only a beginner so I can't offer any suggestions. The only two problems I know about are listed in the Readme file. The only payware that I know of is Marias Pass.

Most likely it must be my end..? I have all the assets and RW_Tools does not show any errors or missing stuff. As nobody has queried any problems with the same download I am assuming I have the problem, but spending a day or so to try and get it to work has frustrated me some!!
Another day perhaps... !*don-know!*

Sadly...

I also have black screens...

Sounds exactly like qrfan3's experience.

Buzz, could you expand on, or (better) suggest where I might find, your 'easy' weather fixes?

Kind regards,

John M
