Frog guardrails missing

Unread postby railduffer » Tue Dec 09, 2014 3:10 pm

I am new to route building. I finally built a yard successfully, but when I connect it to a mainline the switch is there, but the guardrails are missing for the frog off the main. The main was laid using COA Main track rule (so was the switch). I then connected it to the yard which was laid using the "All Track US" rule, and COA Siding.
I would like to see the guard rails. Could someone please help?

You shouldn't really mix train rules for starters.

The section of track between the switches, use the break tool then reweld the segemnt and that shouldmake the frogs appear correctly. You mostly have to do this for crossovers. Pay attention though, if you get a big piece of track missing when you do the break, undo it and move the break gizmo to the left or right until there is no big chunk of track removed.

Thanks again Bob. The shortcut did not work for me, so I re-laid the track to the proper rules. It took a little longer, but it works great.
Thanks again.
