Signal block logic for crossovers?

Hi

I have four lines that are crossed by a single line, as in the picture below:

I cannot get the signals to work with this. Currently I'm using simple signal blocks and treating the lines as if they are independent, but as you can see from the picture I'm getting two reds. In this test, for expedience, only the left-hand line has a signal block applied.

Any suggestions welcomed!

/Jason

I'm no expert but my guess is that the placement of the signal block markers has something to do with it. One or more signals may be detecting the logic from a different block. You could test this by making the cross track's logic block shorter (or longer) than the other tracks' (which may also need to be staggered in length also). You also may have to clear cache after each test.

Just a guess. That aught to keep you busy until an expert replies. *!greengrin!*

Thanks. I'm sure there is a logic to it but it's hard to see it.

Something that would be helpful is a guide documenting the signal types and different functions of each type. Do you know if there is such a document?

This is where I learned how to apply signals. Doing crossovers like you have is not ideal though.

You don't need to spread the tracks to 1m or 1yd, just use a signal bridge...
