switch track issues

Hi say when ever I make a switch on another Track?I get the rails that go into the other Track meaning there is no crossover switch.Here is a photo of what I mean http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/633 ... D8A71D8C3/
What am I doing wrong please help thanks

Are you making a double cross-over?

The photo shows multiple red gates (track breaks) and the track on the left appears to have 2 sections of track stacked on each other.

Are there stray sections of track that got caught in the mix?

If so, delete all the track from the affected area, relay straight track, weld it & use the crossover tool
