Placing turn tables troubles?

i've watched a turorial video by nightmoods at youtube but i'm still struggling with this one, where i'm having my trouble is? after i've gotten my track laid and the turn table setup and then i have split the tracks on either side of the turn table i can't get the yellow arrow to sticky to the right position on the turn table to make my track, i can get it to sticky every other position on it but not where it needs to be,i've even went outside and laid in the ditch at 2am with a burlap bag and said " here snipe here snipe" but that didn't work either but i did get eaten up by a buncha skeeters..ok the snipe part was a fib..lol but what am i doing wrong here? Thanks in advance guys for any help with this.
