Hi;
I am teaching myself on creating a route as I have never done one before. I am actually converting a MSTS route to Railworks, which to date has been successful. I have all the track laid, but have a question regarding switch stands. I have used ScaleRail track and switch stands (SP) and have a question regarding switch stand target direction. I am finding that typically in a turnout, switch, or junction (whatever name you prefer) the switch stand target is set by default with the target parallel to the straight track and shows perpendicular to the straight track when switch points are set for the turnout or curved track or spur. However in some cases, now to my question, the curved track of the switch is the mainline and the straight track is for the turnout spur. So I would like the target be set parallel to the track for the curve piece and showing perpendicular to the straight track or turnout spur. Is there a way to set which track is set for mainline and which for spur? I tried using different track types such as the curves track I used mainline and straight track I used spur, but for some reason the switch detail would not render when putting in a junction between two different types of track? At least for me.
Regards, Gerry
