I am fairly famous for not being a rivet counter however I find milk bottles along a route highly distracting and annoying.

In my case it was one kind of flower from Marias Pass. I had placed them in groups between Truckee and Floriston. I got most of the milk bottles out in an hour, but kept finding them hidden away along the track for weeks afterword.
Sometimes I'd see one more than once from the cab while driving by certain areas, but couldn't find the little thing when I'd stop and get into the editor.
I found that different kinds of lighting could really hide those things, even when you're right on top of them. !*roll-laugh*!

I have been working all day removing freeware assets from the list that I am not going to use. I have cleaned the route up everything's looks fine no milk bottles. I did not have to take many things out because I am using mostly DTG FRC assets.

So my list is down to Five freeware Creator assets.

1. EMDSD90MAC
2. GREAT NOTHERNER
3. JOHN LIPPAI
4. RECAP NORTH AMERICAN ASSETS
5.UKTS_FP

And Kuji witch is in the base game everyone has this. All but number five can be downloaded from this site Railworks America in the File library section. When I release the route I will give a better detail of what I am using.

Here is the location for the UKTS assets. I am using the scenery and loft ones.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions it helps me a lot. I will check out the Workshop to see how others put there routes up.
This seems to be a good way to upload it when I am finished with the route extension.

I checked out the workshop procedure and it says it has too many unrecognized items so that won't work. I will finish the route and then I will see how I can get it to everyone that wants it.

It didn't tell you which items were unrecognised? All of your 5 non-DTG asset providers?
Perhaps Workshop routes need to be completely self-contained and freeware is only allowed in scenarios for repaints and such?

I think you can still stick to the DTG Workshop rules when you distribute only the Route folder. The player still does need to have bought FRC to get the base assets in order to run the route at all.

I am going to contact DTG and ask them how they recommend and how I am allowed to put this up for people. That way there won't be any mistakes made.

Work is coming along nicely I thought this would take me until summer to complete. But I am hoping for the end of May if not sooner we will see.

Latest update on my extension. I am close to catching up to the Clio Trestle. I have made it to the tunnel that is close to the trestle. I will make it to the trestle by the end of this month. Here are some screen shots of my latest work. The one without any scenery Is what work I have to do the remaining 15 miles. This will take me longer to do because there are a lot more wide open spaces to fill in scenery.

Honestly amazing. Your hard work and eye for beauty really does show in the more open areas, reminds me a bit of parts of Yellowstone NP in a way.

Sometimes I think your part of route looks better than DTG one.

Thanks Eric. About almost being finished with the route. I still have 15 miles of scenery to put down. And alot of it is wide open spaces. Witch means more of an area to put scenery in. I am hoping to do it in two months. I do work fast but every section is different. I should be done up to the Clio Trestle with going back and fixing things like floating rocks witch there are a few of them by the end of this month.

I packaged up two of the freeware assets and put them up on my DropBox site. The other three are large so everyone can get those on there own from RailWorks America and the UKtrainsim site for the freeware assets. The one i gave a link to in an earlier post.

I know everyone would like to have this tomorrow but scenery work does take a long time to do.
After i am finished if you keep the speed down to what it says to. You should have one to two hours of fun if you run my complete extension. When i am finished it should be around 40 miles.
