Quick drive has not been implemented yet and I expect, due to the many miles of scenery yet to do, it might be quite some time before I get a chance to work on quick drives. I'm not 100% on the track/signalling at this point either and I would want to make sure that is complete before I move on to other aspects of the route. Once I do get around to it I'll announce it in this thread for sure.

I apologize for my imperfect English ) But everything is so difficult for you Americans, I can't even figure out how to download the route for me, I have to look at 51 pages of this forum in search of a download link, but I didn't understand where it is, everything is deleted, I'm terrified

The route is a work in progress.
I'm not sure it is available for download.

Nothing new yet, just a reiteration of things already posted.

1) Download the Route and Asset files and install via utilities or unpack and install manually.

2) Download October update, unpack and copy route folder into your Railworks route folder.

3) Download November update, unpack and copy route folder into your Railworks route folder.

I'm new here, but trust us, us Americans have just as much difficulty understand things like this as non-Americans do. I can confirm this as I have Autism with Asperger's syndrome. It's absolutely horrible, but I'm stuck with trying to figure out whether or not my disability is actually why I have such a hard time understanding programming and stuff like this.

Just a heads up for people new to this route mod-

The Tehachapi Pass that's required for this route is NOT the Steam version, but the 3DTrains version.

However, having said that, after doing some browsing, it appears Marc of 3DTrains is MIA, and has been for over a month now, and currently not delivering purchased routes.
Hopefully he's okay, kinda scary when somebody goes missing for a time with all the stuff going on in our world.

Because of that, it may be best to wait until we hear from him again before purchasing that dependency.

You never have to read all the pages to find the link. Tomcat, the author, posts the location of the links at the bottom of every post he makes and he has posted a repeat set on this page.

I sincerely hope that Marc is okay but I have to agree with Alec that it's best not to purchase until some kind of word comes from Marc or someone else who can say something definite about the situation.

On a personal note, since I have received several queries about the situation with no resolution in sight I have lost a great deal of enthusiasm and have not really worked on the route for the past 2 months. Will I continue to work on the route? Probably, for no other reason then it's a route I have always wanted and for the few folks who follow my progress. Don't look for anything soon though, I feel like stepping away from anything train related for a bit.

I can understand a bit of burnout and with all the upheaval going on sometimes a break is needed to focus on other things. Relax and enjoy your life. When you are ready to return we all will be here. You have left the route in a good state to hibernate.

I am trying to install the PRB route through utilites. No problem with the assets file but when I try and install the route file through utilites - package manager, I get a box that says (Unhandled exception error has occured in your application. Curious if anyone else has had that issue and if there is a workaround. And that is happening by me either trying to open the file or clickin install in utilites and opening.

Thank you,

Michael

I never use that thing. Just open the .rwp file with 7zip, and drag the Assets folder and Content folder into your Railworks folder. Confirm when it asks you about merging or overwriting.

The problem too was that something must be wrong wit my 7 zip because it would not open the rwp file. I was able to copy it to another pc, open it, then paste it in the route folder. Seems fine.

Thank you

Hi All,

Is the issue with 3DTrains now resolved? I read elsewhere it may be now and so I can acquire their version of Tehachapi Pass and start to install Powder River Basin?

Thanks in advance, Chris

Regarding 3DTrains, proceed with extreme caution buying from him.
