Lol, it's the barest hint of a shadow of a notion that I've had for about a month. If I eventually do it, it will be entirely my own fault. Once I get a lot more scenery done I'll give it more thought.

Yep, I'll probably have an update each month from now on.

Just did a test download on all 3 files; full route, assets and update file and they downloaded fine. Not sure it makes a difference, but I'm using Firefox. Another thought - these are the links on the previous page, links on any other page would no longer work.

I'm not sure what the problem could be - there are a myriad reasons why a download may not work, here is a small list that is by no stretch exhaustive;

Poor or busy network connection.
Wrong drive location in your Internet Options settings.
Browser’s cache accumulating.
Virus infection.
PC security protection software interference.
System files’ corruption.
File type issue on Firefox.
Not enough free disk space.

The only thing I can safely say at this point is that the problem is not at this end. I just downloaded all three files again from the links on the previous page and they worked fine. The download was done using Firefox and from a computer that I've never used for Railworks or Mediafire.

Here is a screenshot of the successful downloads from this morning;

As a precautionary measure to ensure that no one tries to use old links I went through the entire thread and placed *REMOVED* in every post of mine for route releases/updates. The only links left are the ones on page 47 which will be removed as soon as they are superseded by a new update.

November update will be posted sometime during Thanksgiving weekend. Not a whole lot in terms of scenery mileage added but it will be a solid months' work. Torrington, Wy will be about 60% complete. Scenery between Torrington and Henry will be for Decembers update. Screenshots below are all in Torrington.

No worries. I imagine Mediafire must occasionally have maintenance periods so it's possible they were performing maintenance when you tried the links - most sites say that they are undergoing maintenance and to check back later but perhaps Mediafire doesn't bother to inform folks. Could be many reasons but the main thing is that they did eventually work for you, enjoy!

You can unzip a .rwp file just as if it were a zip file, I use 7zip. This way you can just drag and drop the folders to your Railworks installation and bypass the utilities executable.

Which files are you having a problem with; assets or route? or are both giving you a problem. As with another problem posted in this thread recently I downloaded those 2 and the update files from Mediafire again and installed them by unpacking them first and then dragging and dropping rather than using utilities and everything worked fine at this end (Note the update is not a .rwp file so must be installed by drag and drop after unpacking).
