Ah, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I bought that route for $4.99 in a sale just before I started the Powder River Basin in the hope that I would be able to use the mine assets in my route, turns out I was way too hopeful. Neither here, nor there, but I wish DTG had a master texture file that would get updated with every new route for all users - I don't think this would have hurt their sales since I can't see anyone buying a route just for the textures. The same goes for all the assets that are duplicated for each new route and then appear multiple times in the asset lists, if you are using multiple routes to create something new, making them longer than they need to be. Who needs 3 or 4 instances of the same telephone pole or fence loft... or whatever.

I'm starting to rant, sorry! Makes my blood pressure go up every time I think about it. !*roll-laugh*!

The thinking on this is that they don't want to make anything cross dependent however you are right for the most part. They could just put them in like the old Kuju folder and be done with it but............ So my advice is deep breath pause exhale pause take deep breath.....repeat until blood pressure returns to normal. !!*ok*!!

All the shots are nice but the first one really catches my eye. A lot of folks would have let the road lead straight into the other but you took the time to have the road curve naturally in both directions to blend in with the road that crosses the tracks - very nice and great attention to detail overall. !!*ok*!!

The ole breathing exercises work wonders on little things like this. Now if I could just stop watching the 6 o'clock news I'd live a much longer and happier life!

Thank you JM1261 and Tomcat.

Below are a few more screenshots of progress. The first two shots were taken near the BASF plant, and the third shot is at the switch to the plant. I'm still trying to figure out how I am going to kit-bash the place, but it will get done sometime or another. *!lol!*

Here is some more progress from today. I am putting a lot of work into completing the industrial park along Progress Road. The first screenshot shows the beginning of the "storage" track where the CWRY parks its GP15-1. A little farther down this spur is the real life location of the CF7 I photographed on the other page. The other three screenshots are near the industrial park located along Wilroy Road.

I included a screenshot of the 2D map to show how things look from that point of view.

I'm really enjoying the pics ET; you certainly have a keen eye for selecting and blending assets with the paintwork.I especially like the trestle-work, inclusion of brown-eyed Susans, and the fallow vegetable garden. Nicely done! !!*ok*!!

I really appreciate the comment, Rudi. I enjoy working with the terrain textures and the foliage. I don't feel pressured to quickly "zip" through the scenes, but rather, I feel like I can take my time with this route because of its short length.

I can't wait to show more progress as it comes! !*cheers*!

The first screenshot shows QVC Drive and the second shot is at Olde Mill Creek Drive. I've caught a few trains at the trestle just off of Old Mill Creek Dr.
