Using a series of markers instead of a path worked just fine for me now! I have good 1/3 second terrain the entire length of the route.

Now the fun begins!

Wow! Using Microdem to merge two separate .BIL files and using named markers instead of a path I was able to use ReDem to generate the terrain for the group of railroads seen in the screenshot from Google Earth. I created series marker files from my .kml files and imported them via RWTools and was able to fly along the terrain over the two mainlines and all the branches.

Pretty cool! !!*ok*!!

This concept of mine is probably going to take me years, and I'm probably nuts for contemplating it, but it should be fun. I'll start a WIP thread when I am a little further along.
