So I think I wandered a little too far away from the Lehigh Line... I ended up finding this thing... *!!wink!!*

This looks a lot like Rockville Bridge, but I'm probably wrong. Either way, keep up the good work!

I'm slowly working on getting some sections ready for release hopefully by the summer time. This is long overdue and I really am trying to set a goal for a summer small release (even if it's just a section). I'm probably also renaming the whole project (for a 3rd time) since it's going to eventually be a filler out of the new york area. I am thinking of extending the Trenton Subdivision out to Philly, but we'll see how that goes.

Hey all,

Kind of a minor update to let you know what’s been going on. I’ve been trying to work on the track work west of Emmaus, PA. I’ve got the mainline and sidings pretty much done all the way out to CP Blandon. So this means the entire Lehigh, and Reading Lines are now pretty much almost done with regards to tracks. I’m going to be working on the track work west once I get some scenery done between Blandon and Allentown and maybe further east. Hopefully I’ll have some screenshots later this week or next week depending on time and how much I get done.

Here’s to the next update!

Happy New Year everyone!

Just a brief update as I am finishing up things for the night. Here's the latest route update as far as development goes...

Mainline is complete from Harrisburg to the New York Area, covering the Harrisburg Line from Enola Yard to Wyomissing Junction, Reading Line from Wyomissing Junction to Bethlehem/Allentown, and the Lehigh Line from Bethlehem/Allentown to Oak Island Yard in Newark, NJ. (I also have various secondary and other lines intertwined.)
I am continuing to work on scenery and will have some pics up as more areas come together.

As a test, I set up a train at the Pittsburgh Line portal and had it go to Croxton Yard (one end to the other). With no traffic on the line and all clear signals (or what the speed would allow) it was stating it takes a little over 6 hours to go from one end to the other. So...this route is quite large to say the least. I'm hoping once I have enough stuff populated with scenery I can release it and have everyone start playing around with scenarios on it.

Look for leaps and bounds to happen in 2023!

Until next time...

Ken

Well here's an update...

I tried moving my steam directory and moved my content folder to the same drive. Lost all my work from the past 5 months or so...time to relay the entire Harrisburg and Reading lines again. Lesson learned...make a backup as often as i can (because my windows auto-backup won't work).

ugh.... !*hp*!

Are you sure that you just accidentally "parked" it someplace. Can you find it using the search in windows? Moving a file to the wrong place shouldn't delete it. **!!2cents!!**

I copied over the most recent file with an older file thinking it would merge the two...it ended up replacing it. I tried restoring it but my restore failed so...back to the drawing board...

But on the bright side...it allows me to re-do some sections a little better and then work on scenery on the part of the line that is mostly finished...I'm currently re-planting trees, redoing roads, adding more scenery. Just trying to figure out how I can add enough detail to be good enough but not kill frame rates. Trying to find a good way to determine that...screen resolution, amount of detail etc.

Like for example for forests...further from track side...do I need to put in underbrush or should I ignore it? Things like that... any "pro" tips are welcomed :D

When Bob and I were doing the Lafayette route our rule was if you can't see it from the train fergettabout it. And I don't mean a helicopter view from 200 feet up.
