here's Jersey City/Secaucus thus far. The buildings with the red roofs are my own creative licensing I guess you can say for representing the apartments with red roofs that are in those locations. The other buildings I've taken from the Bergen route and re-created. Once building placement is set, I will begin placements of roads, curbs, etc. as per the Bergen to make somewhat of a "seamless" transition from one route to the other. I should have more done by the evening.

Hi all,

I know I haven't been updating much, but slowly working on scenery in the Secaucus area. Tonight I thought I'd take a break and finish another project on the route...
So I give you...the Newark Bay Bridge...(more or less)

Main structure is done. Just need to finish the deck and rest of the supports, add the roadway and all the little details and it's ready to go.

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't been posting lately...lots of things going on...plus loads of railfanning and train trips (including one behind N&W 611 :D )...

Anyway, I've been working on a lot and figured I'd post pics to wet your whistle so to speak...updating the National Docks to the latest and future config...going east we start...

That's all for now, I'll be updating this more towards the end of the week as I add more buildings, roadways and lots of other details.

BTW...what's a good substitute for a lot of street light glow? It's going to be a pain if I have to put in hundreds of individual streetlights. =\

Anyway until next time! :D

Also, as I'm not too familiar with this area, is there a section of the NEC included?

There will be a section from Secaucus to Newark International Airport on the NEC for AI purposes but it's mainly geared for the freight in the area.

That is interesting, in my own NEC rebuild I am making it from New York to Trenton as a Phase I.

I'm only doing the Secaucus to Newark Liberty section in somewhat full detail (parts of it not as much) so the NJ Transit Raritan Valley AI has stations to stop at for timing between NY and Cranford. NJ Transit has a lot of traffic on the Lehigh Line so that's why I'm incorporating it. Plus passing trains on the northeast corridor for added effect since a lot of the CSAO operations are near as well.

Just figured I'd post a quick picture of my line.
I'm taking a break from the mainline to work on some other parts. I've been working in the Browns Yard area in Sayreville. I'll be posting some pics of that later.
Anyway... CP 51 with the old station still there (scheduled to be demolished in the coming weeks).
