I have the warren truss bridges jpetersjr has but each bridge has a deck piece and in my terrain this wont work. So I used a warren truss from another place that I found.

Decided to post this again as we are on a new page...

I am considering redoing the route with some 1/9 DEM data. I downloaded a small portion and it look great but there are a couple of "holes" in it where tiles are empty. Is there any way around this problem? I used the newest version of ReDem and a path I created in Google Earth. It always seems that ReDem does not find all the tiles it could find. Don't know how to fix that either.

I used both 1/9 and 1/3 DEM, and where holes were present, noted the world tile and replaced that tile with 1/3.

How do I go about just replacing ONE tile?

The tile coordinates are listed in the bottom of the RW screen as you navigate through the world editor. Make a note of the tile number that's missing and that you're directly above.

Thanks, I did this and now I have pretty nice looking terrain at 1/9 arc sec most of the route. I had to fill a few places with 1/3 arc sec but it still looks better than before.

Just be mindful of the area beyond Mt Hebron - there's a huge swath of area that 1/9 doesn't cover, but since it's mainly flat it shouldn't be too much of an issue with 1/3 data.

Just got my video of the Shasta Division from 7idea and it look very nice. I can see that laying the track will be the easiest part of this endeavor. I wish I could figure out how to use the ground textures from UKTrains as I need more options to make this route look realistic. Now I'd like to find more information about what things looked like in the 1940's or 50's as I'd like to set this as the time from for the route. That way I can use diesel and steam locos.

The 1/3 data starts at Grass Lake.
