I just discovered a new tip...If you have more than one set of files to download, download one at a time and check that the zip file is OK before going on to the next file. It takes a bit longer, but sure beats downloading all at once, only to find that one of the zip files is corrupt. You'll then waste more time trying to figure out which lined file went bad. **!!bang!!**
Cheers!

I just sent an email to the USGS asking if they could add the "Define Download Area By Coordinates" feature back into The National Map. I'll pass along any reply I get back.

I'm finding holes in 1/9 arc sec data for Northern CA and OR, and also finding that half the time I have to use the package download link after extracting the data, as the initial download contains nothing (additional link in extraction window fixes things). I suppose it will take a bit before the bugs are worked out.
Cheers!

Hi guys,

If I read all your posts on this right, it is no longer possible to have a pathway in Google Earth along with ReDEM set the boundries for landscape download?

Thanks,
Rick !**conf**!

That is strange for sure, I am having no problem loading it.

Still no reponse to my email to them regarding the download by coordinates feature.

Takes a few days to get an answer from support. Very good responses (no canned answers), but very s-l-o-w! *!lol!*

Well, lookie what I found after clicking on Help. !!*ok*!!

Q: How do I define a specific area for download by entering coordinate values?
A:

Enter a coordinate value into the Search window, such as 32.5 -98.25 in decimal degrees.

Zoom to the coordinate value.

Select Draw Annotation from the 'More' menu in the Search Results.

Enter a new layer name (such as Extent) for the first point.

Define annotation name of the first point, such as Pt1.

Change fill color to a more recognizable color other than white if you want.

Click on Draw.

Repeat Steps 1-3 and 6-7 to enter additional coordinate values, but also follow Steps 9-10 for each new point instead of Steps 4-5.

Specify the same existing layer (Extent) for each new point.

Define unique names, such as Pt2, Pt3, and Pt4, for annotation name of each point.

Review point locations under User Added Content.

Use the 'Zoom In' tool from the Standard toolbar to drag a box that includes all drawn points.

Select the 'Download Data' tool.

Click to download by current map extent.

Select themes and formats for download.

Choose appropriate products under each theme.

Select 'Checkout' after review of selected items in Cart.

Enter e-mail address twice to place order.
