I haven't documented it because I know it's going to take a while. At this point, the trackwork is done with the exception of industry sidings and stubs, and I've made a first pass at signalling. The scenery for downtown Fort Worth is 95% done, and that's pretty much it. It's more than a year since I started, so I figure it will be another year at least.
I want to make it strictly with freeware assets, with the exception of stuff form the RWA route.
There's no long running, it's pretty much a switching route, yard to yard, servicing the sidings, makeup and breakdown of both passenger and freight, running a few miles to and from the turnaround loops at the exits. The switching possibilities seem like they'll be endless, as there are nine yards and more than 60 industries. There's also the interurban, although I've only modeled the portion from downtown to off-map east, downtown itself, and the northern extension to the stockyards. Of all the interurban and trolley lines shown on that image I included above in this thread, I'm only modeling about 10%.
Attached is the complete trackwork, zoomed out, and a relative closeup of the Tower 55 Interlocking, T&P Yard, Gulf,Colorado & Santa Fe Yard (Union Yard), and Fort Worth & Denver Yard.
