Strange... Scalerail only shows up on my routes, not on any other downloaded routes.... The grey ground confused me also, I have no clue what is wrong...

gray ground is most likely caused by using a custom texturing.bin

thecanadianrail- I'm pretty sure you used some of the EU textures in your Valan Branch route correct?
If you had your own texturing.bin and used it, and didn't package it up right, then that MIGHT explain it.

Otherwise, I have no idea.

GreatNortherner created the base route for the RWA community route, so i assume he would be the one to ask?

Hi,

Yes, I did create a custom terrain texturing BP for the route -- inlcuding all default US+UK terrain paints and snow textures for all of them.
It resides, like the other route blueprints (templateroute, Time of day, etc.) in Assets \ RailWorksAmerica \ RWARoute

Cheers,
Michael

Perhaps you should have him resend it to you. Or he might be able to check through his version of it and see if he left anything out.

Wish you the best of luck though, hope you will be able to get it to work.

well if you can't get it working we will need to start over, and probably with new terrain aswell....it seems to be corrupt? let me explane.....

when i first started to buld i noticed that the editing scenario/startpoint that GN gave with the route was corrupted, but i got around that by making a new scenario and placing the icon near the old one. that worked for a while, but then i decided to delete that scenario that GN gave, but then it corrupted the other scenarios? did the same thing and it worked. then i finished my part, packaged it up and sent it on its way. then i decided to start doing other things to personalize the section for myself...when i went back i am getting the same problem that csx was talking about!?!? now the section is gone and i gave up on trying to fix it, hopeing you could fix it...... !*don-know!*

i will admit though this area didn't satisfy the mountain sided route bulder in me, but did satisfy the flatlands thing. need bigger hil.....mountains in the next version if you want to continue it? (i did suggest an area near the black hills S.D. that was almost flat on one end, and steep mountains on the other btw !!*ok*!! )

Hi,

This link here: http://www.mediafire.com/?vex8yqqv3rutabk
holds the base terrain and all associated files like time of day, terrain paint, etc. blueprints.

You should be able to grab the needed files from this package, if indeed only stuff from the original setup is missing. Just make sure to not overwrite any of the exisiting files or you'd loose the terrain modifications that were done on the route. Or simply backup the existing route to a new package file before installing this base package, then reinstall the backed-up latest route build again.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi,

Have you had any luck getting the terrain to show up?
