It's MILW Rocky Mountain Division, isn't it?
MILW could be interesting adition to RW, because of it's unique operations: Little Joes, Boxcabs and all mixed with diesels rolling uder wires over high bridges and in deep canyons, something for moutain railroading buffs like me.:)

The grade for both the NP and the MILW still show quite well in Google earth. I've driven the Interstate through Butte several times and the grade is mostly there and the scenery is beautiful. One area about 15 miles East of Butte on the NP grade looks very weird in Google until you figure out you are looking at a trestle that was laid over by a landslide!

Yes. When We first went through there in 1975, the track was still in place and the trees were small enough to see that trestle from I-90. Someone preserved a bit of History, and there is about 150 yards of track and the original Continental Divide marker at the summit.

The MILW Rocky Mountain Division is in fact quite well done in MSTS by a group of creators, and looks great in Open Rails.

All of the good stuff is there: large and small Boxcab motors, "Quill", "Bi-Polar" and "Little Joe" electrics with their distinctive cabs, sound and peculiar operation. Standard heavyweight passenger cars, the Olympian Hiawatha strealined passenger train, MILW's characteristic rib sided boxcars and cabeese.
Butte, Anaconda & Pacific trolley-like operations, NP's mainline and a whole lot more, offering a great variety in gameplay.

Lots of lovely scenery including a huge amount of unique, custom made buildings, both large and small, giving the route its distinctive flavour.

This MSTS route rivals the best of Railworks, and a true conversion to Railworks would be a great asset.

We could start with GreatNortherner's Butte, Montana route he's working on. He's doing the GN line, if we as nice enough, a group could work on it and put the NP and MILW into it too.
