RWDecal,ReDem,RWTools,Google Earth...arrrgh!!

Ok, first let me vent. **!!bang!!** !*hp*!
Ok, I feel better now! :D

Now my questions. As a noob to RW route building, all of these utilities and procedures can be a little confusing and overwhelming. To make matters worse, the few excellent tutorials that exist are becoming outdated as technologies move forward (USCGS seamless server recently changed). Part of the confusion is that there appears to be several approaches to maping a route and many of the tools are interdependent on one approach or the other (markers vs decals for example) to function properly. So, can some of you please give a brief outline of the steps you use to import your topo data(ReDem vs BilxSTRM), map your track(markers vs decals) etc. I feel frozen with too many options! !*don-know!*

*!!thnx!!*

I use RWDecal together with ReDem whitch is by far the easiest way to get your route done in my opinion

Thank you for the suggestion. I purchased a license for ReDem and will start working with the workflow you recommend this weekend.
