The way to get rid of the weeds, etc., pushing up through the track is to paint the track area with a 'non-procedural' or 'non-flora' ground texture.
I use procedural flora all over the place on my route, but along the track, I have to use a 'bare grass' or some other such non-flora texture.
If I leave procedural fauna on before I lay track, and paint the non-procedural flora on after track laying, I still get a few weeds here and there, but it is cut down substantially.
It may be better to start with a non-procedural flora base, then paint procedural flora "top coat" where you want it, as opposed to the other way-round. What you think?
