Hello everyone I have a problem with the train simulator classic when creating a place called Saukville in Wisconsin

I press CTRL+G to show the Map and The Blue Circle stays charging for a Long Time

what will be the problem that never happened to me in TS2016

Is this a route you are building right now?

Hi,

I've just tried this in my copy of (freshly updated) TSC and the GE Overlays are working fine here.

Have you already checked if Railworks.exe is allowed to access the internet on your PC? Maybe it got blocked by your Firewall (Defender or whichever program you're running).

If it's not that, I suspect the issue to be related to the API key, though this is purely speculation on my part.

Cheers,
Michael

Has the Google Earth overlay worked for you in the past, or is this the first time you are using it?

Regarding Google requiring a method of payment for API projects, I can assure you that you don't get charged for the amount of usage that we do building routes in this game.

I think until TS2016 you did not need to add a payment method.
Just create a new account at google, set a payment method and create a new API key.
The process is a bit different to the past, but resembles to the old method.

Recently I have created decals to place around Pueblo (want to update Tennessee Pass).
This was necessary as I have to adjust my corrections to the existent tracks, which were something like ...

Take screenshots in google maps when it shows a scale of 20m.
On my screenshots this scale was 85 or 87 pixels long (without and with outline).
Combine these screenshots in Gimp, Photoshop.
Save squares of 2048x2048 pixels as bmp (merge layers first).
Convert these bmps using RWAcetool.
Create a decal blueprint with the BPE:
BPE-decal-BP.jpg

Export.
