Track ID in RE

If i wanted to only replace a certain section of track how could I use the RE to identify that section in the Tracks.bin file. I can't hand lay this particular track section since it's at the end of a line and it has to be exactly the same as the original or it will crash all activities made before the edit. Thank you for any suggestions.

Could you add another piece to the loft, and then use the snap to track function to place the section exactly as it was?

You could always clone the route to see if it works.

I'm definitely using a clone of the route. I'm not very familiar with the route editor. I'll try as you suggested if I can figure it out. Thank you
