No you dont't have to. Just go to one of your routes that has a urban area go into world editor and hit ctrl g and see if anything shows up.

Oh yeah, I suppose that would be an easier way to do it. I'll try that tonight after work.

Let us know. That way we can tell if the problem is with the overlay or if your route is on mars or someplace like that. *!greengrin!*

So Chicago shows a satellite image overlay.

Now back to North Georgia to see if anything changed.

ETA ** No joy. It still says we have no imagery here.

I thought it would be from the same source as this:

I just plotted through about 6 points along the route, and they overlay works fine for me... Its gotta be something in your google API settings.

** EDIT ** - I have my Google Map settings in TS set on 'Satellite' instead of 'Hybrid'. Does changing yours to match make any difference?

Are there settings other than those inside the game I need to look at or is it just those where the api key, resolution, zoom. and map type are found? It was initially set on hybrid, I switched it to satellite at some point but didn't switch it back last night while I was checking into it.

It'll be tonight before I can get back into it, 12 hour days leave little free time during the week, but it's good to know there should be a solution eventually.

Thanks again for all the help.

Got it resolved and it's totally understandable that Google doesn't have useful imagery for Antarctica which is apparently where mixing up the coordinates landed me.

Once I swapped the Lat and Long it worked like a charm.
