Golden Age Of Railroading In The Bay Area

This is my next Route project I will be working on. I plan on adding on to G-Traxs Sacramento Northern route when it comes out. I have already asked Rick if I can do this and he said I could.

What I plan on doing is to make a clone of Ricks Sacramento Northern Route. And put in the Southern Pacific and ATSF Tracks to it. My goal is to make a Steam Era Route out of it. And to keep it in the 1940s. I have done a lot of research on this and I am just waiting for the route to be released by DTG. This will be a Workshop Route so I will not be using any Freeware assets.

I will take from where Rick has laid his SP and ATSF tracks and extend them from Emeryville to Pittsburg California. I am also going to do the ATSF Valley Division that starts in Richmond and take it to Pittsburg.

According from reading some of Ricks posts he has put in some SP and ATSF tracks in some of the towns in his Sacramento Northern route. These are where they are close to the Sacramento Northern Traction Tracks. I will extend these track to fill in where he has left off. This project will take some time to complete probably six months to a year. But I believe this will add on to G-Tracks beautiful route.

There are so many great Steam Engines from this time period that are available for Train Simulator 2017. I just want to incorporate the feel of the 1940s in the Bay area with this new Route Project. Here are the list of the Payware routes I will be using to make this route.

Base Route Sacramento Northern
Colton and Northern
Horseshoe Curve
Rascal and Cottonwood
Springfield Line
Stevens Pass

I will need all of these routes to complete this route. Each one has several types of assets I will need for this route project. I would like to add the Western Pacific portion to this route some day. But I believe I have a lot of work already to complete up to Pittsburg California to start with. Once the Sacramento Northern Route is released and I start laying track I will post some screenshots from this route project.
