I share your pain!
There is nothing so far in TS20xx to provide the same coverage as found in the old MSTS routes. While the original NEC Philly-D.C. route that came with MSTS was better than nothing, Vince Cockeram vastly improved upon it with his NEC 4.0 masterpiece. It provides complete, detailed trackage between 30th St. Philly and Wash. Union Station. And, it adds the parallel CSX freight trackage in detail between the same points. He also "threw in" a good bit of MD Light Rail commuter trackage as a bonus. I don't know how many times Vince apologized for mistakenly electrifying the CSX tracks and making it a two-track mainline, but no one ever cared or complained about it - even on that
other forum where complaining can rise to an art form - the route is that good. Notice I'm using present tense here talking about the route; although it's not available anymore, it still reverently resides on my other PC.
In more recent times, NEC 4.0 was integrated into the massive, broadly expansive PRR Eastern Region Route.
http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showthread ... ern-Region I was on the verge of getting it, but the TS20xx bug bit me, along with being spoiled by wide-screen HD graphics.
I'm sure TS20xx coverage of Philly-D.C. has been suggested to DTG many times, but so far - nada. To be sure, for them to do the route to the same standards as they have done NY-New Haven, etc., would be a hefty task, but heck, if they did it I'd even be tempted to buy it without a sale! Well......maybe.
