How to get a smaller radius on trackwork?

Unread postby Railroy19 » Tue Oct 13, 2015 6:49 pm

I have a problem laying trackwork when using the snap to track feature. I can't seem to get a smaller radius sometimes when connecting to another track. I set the settings to yard or freight but that does not solve my problem I keep getting a larger radius than I need. Where are the settings to lay a tighter radius of track? There has to be a setting because I see lots of routes with much shorter radius's than I'm trying to install.
Anyone have the answer to this problem?

Thanks,
Bob

There is a value for minimum radius in the trackrule.bin file.

If you choose YARD for the track type even though you are not using yard tracks, the radius is much tighter.

Thanks Artimrj.
I will give it a try. I knew there was a way to shorten the radius for trackwork that is tight.
Going to have to practice more at track laying.
