What to do next?

Unread postby SithMurcielago » Sat Mar 19, 2011 7:35 am

Well due to the fact that my computer and the last railworks update didn't see eye to eye, left my Auto Train Route on the shelve for now until a solution can be found. It would be easy to say start over again, but if I do how will i know for sure that what happened now won't happen again? This isn't the first time either my last efforts to produce another section release of my NEC route was altered by an update.

So the question is what do I do? Do I continue on this path I build that may only lead to more failure? I have so much to offer to this game in the form of route building and technical data, but I can't help to feel Despondent.

I hope RSC can look into some of the things that causes these problems. Computers are so mysterious. When you think you have it figured out, it does something you never saw coming. Its like it has a mind of its own.

So what do I do next. Playing it just isn't fun anymore no matter how much DLC is added. There is so much more to do.

Can you share what the problems were? I am currently working on a long route, and would hate to land into a similar situation.

Is this about the gradient markers? Or other track problems? I'm slowly discovering issues with editing COA track I laid in version 114 using version 116; namely, causing crashes when I try to add/reconnect track. However, new track I laid in version 116 (unconnected to the former track) remains editable without crashes. I wasn't going to mention it yet, as I have yet to verify that my observation is correct, but saw this thread and wondered if we are encountering similar issues???

I have no cle what the causes is. All I know is before the last update I had no problems now with the new update My route crashes before i CAN EVEN DO ANYTHING. The problem you have is nothing new. It happens all the time you just have to keep saving after every track add/Change. It happens randomly to me. Annoying really.
