Road/Terrain?

Unread postby rjmf22 » Mon Nov 04, 2013 5:17 pm

Hey guys! Noob here
This may seem like kind of a basic question, but how do you get the roads to stick to the terrain? I'm working on a route, and i try to put roads going uphil, and it just puts them straight through the mountain. Any help?

PS: Mods/admins, I do apologize if this is in the wrong section/thread.

Route Design, this is the right place. In the bottom fly out on the left, when you have TRACKS selected or ROADS, there is a stick to terrain icon looks like a magnet. You have to watch what your doing though. If you have a hill and run road or track to it, it will not adhere the way you want it to. So you lay the road to the bottom of the hill, then start a new section to go up the hill. You have to click and continue along with your gradients. Then when you have some done you the gradient tool to adjust in places, then use the smooth tools to fix the rough spots.

In your Railworks\manuals\en folder is a RW Creator Manual web.pdf. Look at it, even though it is old is has a gradient section. Should explain all you need to know, then play with it.
