Texture Problem

Unread postby RvA944 » Tue Oct 22, 2013 10:19 am

Hello All,

Ok got a small problem here. I wanted to add a new texture to my routes texture pallet. So I took one of RSC textures, ran it through RW_Tools (5.0.22) converted the TgPcDx to a dds file. Then I opened the dds file in CS3. I've tried using "Load Using Default Sizes" & "Convert Images to 8 bits" with the same result below. I make my changed to the hue, saturation and so forth, then I export the file as an ace file, leaving the default option set in the exporter. Then onto the RW editor, I make a new entry in the MixMap set it to wang, choose the category and exported the set. This part is fine no errors. Now once I opened Railworks loaded my route, opened up the painting section choose my new texture and make one click to start painting and poof. Game locks up and corrupted my mixmap files. Just ticked away another days work. Any ideas why this would happen and more importantly how do I fix my mixmap files?

**!!bang!!**

You are not making the wang texture correctly,

or

You are not setting the BP correctly for a singlton texture

Try this for non-wang:

And this for wang:

Don't mind the part about GIMP, CS has the same tools.
