Did not say it was a course of action!

What's with the poor attitude about TSW?

It is your opinion that that my attitude is 'poor'. It is my opinion that I am just being realistic. I am just proving that I am not just a fan boy, something that I have been accused of by some.

It is also my opinion that if TSW has no development tools, it will be a game over in less than two years. I have seen lots of games come and go for the very same reason. !*don-know!*

Yes, it is my opinion that your attitude is poor in regards to TSW! Why do you have to prove that you are not just a fan boy? Who really cares what these people think.

Anyway, in my opinion, I think TSW will get development tools and other routes released in the future.

And to everyone defending DTG, keep in mind that DTG themselves have said that they don't expect everyone to play TSW so they don't feel the need to have a lot of content. Sounds like fall is when things will actually pick up with multiplayer, the next route, and route editing coming before/around that timeframe. So if you want the route editor, then just wait for the update sometime later before you buy. DTG won't mind, they don't expect anyone to play TSW right away.

The thread title says some shots, not pot shots.

I really love the detail that this offers.

How what has really kept me going all these years with Railworks was route building ad being able to edit and modify existing route to how I wanted them to be.

Hopefully they give TSW the same type of route creation options.

Currently working on a route from Kansas City to St Louis. My wife calls it Jim's world due to its size and complexity. LOL

buzz456 / overshoe - would like to know more about how you see this has an "xbox game" rather than a train simulator, i've certainly not designed it to be anything less than a simulator. All feedback is good :)

Thanks
Matt.

Sorry to be so long getting back to you on this but as TSW devolved, i forgot about this post. This quote reminded me:

"Read what Matt Peddlesden, Senior Producer, has to say below:

Train Simulation has been a personal passion of mine for the last 17 years, and as a console gamer myself since the first Xbox was launched in the UK, it's always been a dream of mine to get Train Sim on to a console. The slick user interface, easy-to-use controller and generally "lean back" gaming style is just super relaxing and beautifully matches up with the fundamentally relaxed nature of the Train Sim World experience."

So we have a Need For Speed with trains instead of sportscars, and 40 mile routes that start and end nowhere instead of endless city streets. It is perfectly legitimate for DTG to produce an console game and I hope it is a financial success, but I still see no traces of a train sim.
