What's going on with this Forum?

I haven't seen any new threads on this forum since March. What's up?

I guess there's nothing worth saying.

I guess that there just isn't much of anything happening to talk about with TSW given all you can do is drive the canned scenarios.

Well I am here everyday several times and there are at least 20 new posts every day. Sometimes more when something new is posted for new stuff. Buzz is constantly making new items and the people all talk about it and thank him for the new stuff. So I do not know how you can say there are no new posts?

Vitor, nothing exciting happens with TSW in between content releases. Activity flares temporarily when the stuff is announced and released then it all goes away.

Just like Buzz and Chacal already were getting at. Without modding potential there isn't much to talk about in between content announcements from DTG.

I think he is referring to the TSW section Bob.

When a new route is launched, there is usually a debate about it here, but now, with the launch of the Horseshoe Curve, I haven't seen any debate about it, not even about the new version of Train sim Classic. Hence my strangeness about what was going on with this forum.

TSW/TSW2 and Train Sim Classic are different forums both here and at DTG. Train Sim Classic is not really new it is only a rebranding of TS20XX and most people had already got the dlc in the package or else didn’t want them.

Howdy Folks,

I was reading through this thread, and it reminds me of a time......long ago, when I was a frequent customer of "Maple Leaf Tracks" and waiting by my mailbox for another "add on route". I was heavy into MSTS and along came this new platform........ "RAILWORKS"...... Hmmmm, that will never take over MSTS, and I continued to run my trains over the D&H "Binghamton Route" and "Kicking Horse Pass", with tons of "glitches" and computers locking up on me......and well, here I am! "RAILWORKS".....to "Train Simulator 2022", and now "Legacy". Go figure!!!! Now....once again, another platform slowly makes it's way into the market. As it inches in, it introduces "gamers" from different platforms (XBOX, PS4, PS5 etc) into the "new world" of railroading. People are once again....slowly modifying equipment, painting and skinning locomotives and cars and so on.

As before.....I stand over on the sidelines....watching. This new platform "TSW2" adds a lot of things which people asked for. Ability to walk around, buttons and controls which actual work, scheduled services which actually operate against you while you travel, without having to build a scenario...... I ask questions... "Why does the PTT button actual work on the radio, with volume as well, without a function yet?" Who knows....and if you were a developer....would you announce why, as you build a game??

There are lots of ways to look at this. We see lots of the negative side....change is hard! Myself, I enjoy this platform as an operator. I am able to set up a unit, and go for a run...with traffic, in minutes. I have never been a developer, "Modder", skinner or painter... but I have always supported them. These folks make the game very special and fun. I have always supported 3rd Party pay ware as well, and always will since these folks bring a whole new world to the platform. I still run Train Simulator 2022, because I love steam.... but they are bringing it to TSW2.... There is lots to think and ponder about here! Meanwhile, as I type this, my original Microsoft Train Simulator Discs and a very large box of "Add on" discs sit in a dusty box near me....in my closet! So.....the journey continues and I keep a "watchful eye" on all the developments.... Why don't you join me as we wait....climb aboard for a run up Horseshoe Curve!!

Just My Thoughts and Ramblings!
