It seems no one here really likes TSW. I think it is pretty ok. They have not changed the way they market it but hey seems funny how guys will go spend 2 to 3 hundred dollars on a model locomotive then complain about a 20 dollar digital
version of a locomotive that will not break if you drop it LOL.

I own TSW 1-4 and I’m going to get the standard edition of TSW 5. The only reason is because I want the San Bernardino Line. The only new features I’m looking forward to is the LIve Maps 2.0 and the new improved digital displays.

I’m not sure about how useful the teleport option is. Maybe to hop ahead to a station to watch an AI train pass or to just checkout the scenery there without having to drive a train to it?!? Sure.. OK.

The route hopping feature is just a convenient way to load up an adjacent route. Nothing hugely useful other than maybe saving a few menu steps.

I’m curious about the new graphics engine improvements. How much better it is and is it going to hurt framerates in anyway compared to TSW 4?

The USA based routes are the San Bernardino Line and the newly announced MBTA route. That’s two USA routes in a row that are passenger service. Hopefully we get a freight route next in the future. I’d like to see some new routes like Mullan Pass in Montana, Union Pacific’s Yuma sub from their West Colton yard in California to the crew change point in Yuma, Arizona or their Cima sub from Yermo to Las Vegas.

I’d also be down for them to bring some of my favorite TSC routes to TSW like Steven’s Pass, Marias Pass, Feather River, Donner Pass, Tehachapi Pass or the Surfliner route. You just know one or more of these will eventually make it to TSW someday.
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

I think I will just try the free update. I do not like the European routes. I do wish they had a North American version for us north Americans LOL.
I would like to see the san bern route before I buy it because i am not really into passenger only routes. I do like it when they have both though. I believe
that routes that have passenger trains sell way more than freight only routes. So I guess we will see what happens in a few days. !!*ok*!!
