SP GP40 Won't Power Up in Specific Scenario

Hello, I'm having a real head scratcher here and I hope someone can help. I'm attempting to substitute the SP GP40 into a scenario on the Kansas City route - Local Work at Loring. When I do so, I try to start up the engine as usual along with the second engine, when I place the reverser in forward the RPMs increase a bit, but when I try to start moving there is no movement and no increase in AMPs - the engine does not rev up. If I use the same SP GP40 in other scenarios, it works. If I use the UP GP40 in this particular scenario, it works. I know these engines have more complex scripting than stock DTG engines, is there something in a given scenario that could be causing this? It seem like a strange thing for this particular pairing to not work. The train is stationary upon loading.

Thanks for any help.

Dave

To be clear, when you say that "If I use the UP GP40 in this particular scenario, it works." are you referring to the RRmods UP GP40, or the DTG one?

Sorry, should have been more clear, RRmods GP40.

Have you set the isolation switch to run?? Use the "I" key.

As AmericanSteam noted above, this is very necessary. On the RRmods SP units, unlike their UP ones, the 'I' key seems to be rather hit and miss to actually turn the selector to 'run'. On my install at least, I often have to move it with the mouse as it doesn't seem to respond to the 'I' key.

Thanks, I always use my mouse to move the isolation switch to run. I am able to get the engines working on other routes (though they seem temperamental at times more so than other advanced locos).

Sometimes I can't hear a click when setting the isolation switch with either the keyboard or mouse but it does switch.
