Same. I took it for a spin and no errors as of now. And my files have not reverted to default yet, but it takes a day or two for the reversion update to take place.

One thing I will be taking a look into is the Big Boy, because we all know of the bug that came out last year.

Got the Pioneers edition with 2 routes that I didn't have, cost me $24 NZ. Normal price for a route is normally $47-99 NZ for me. I'm not just a one country rail enthusiast but like trains from all around the world.

I had to re enable a few things in the route editor, but nothing lost.Everything backed up yesterday just in case.

Same no problems so far. Alpen's weather mod is still working just fine and the MLW GEVO mod still works just fine. Didn't have to change or edit anything. !!*ok*!!

Assuming you find the start screen as silly as I do what do you think we should do? Not the vid which I have already done away with but the start picture.

Take a screen shot that you like. Save it in .tga format.

Move it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\data\textures\frontend

Back up ui_splash_railsim.tga and replace it with your saved screen shot.

That will get rid of the main splash screen but I haven't figured out how to get it off the menu pages

If you change the background.jpg it fixes most of the second screen. Off to work. Figure the rest of it out tonight.

How about the meat? I've only used TS2017 for a couple of hours so far, but I cannot spot any improvements compared to TS 2016 and DTG is too busy trying to sell routes and a 12-day beta to brag about new features as they usually do. On the other hand, I like the new startup splash screen, even though it mostly promotes those overly flogged routes.

Here's another burning question: will an updated version of the creator manual finally appear? !!det!!

In the aviation business they call it "pencil whipping" a inspection. It appears that other than a new sign there there is nothing to see here. Move on.

So is anyone up to make some Railworks America replacement graphics for the splash screen and menus? With all the screenshots and video available in these forums I would think there would be plenty to work with. I'm willing to give it a try if someone can tell me file types and resolutions that are required.
