Discontinued DLC

Unread postby OpenRailer90 » Thu Sep 15, 2016 3:39 pm

As of today, I have checked that the TS2016 exclusive content (UP GTEL, DB BR155, Riviera 50s, TS Rewards) have been discontinued, I believe the only way to acquire them is by using a steam key from an external site. What should be a good idea is to sell the content in their respective DLC packs. (GTEL+Boxcar: Sherman Hill; BR155 DB+BR155 PRESS: Köln-Koblenz; Castle Rewards: Riviera 50s; pumpcar probably standalone in marketplace)

So there is no way to buy Sherman Hill with the UP GTEL?

Why do you care and didn't yesterday when you could get it?

I care because there may be some new users who might be unable to acquire the TS2016 specific content, especially the Fifties Riviera route because there are DLC items that rely on it, such as the USATC S160, GWR Mail, and Star Class or something. American Powerhaul is a separate product, it may not be compatible with the existing TS as its steamdb entry proves so.

The heavy haul is a standalone game but if you own TS and buy heavy haul it just acts as DLC.

SteamDB's databases don't seem to prove it, TS2016 Sherman Hill Single Route Edition, which is now discontinued, was pretty much the base game and the TS2016 Sherman Hill.

DTG said on Facebook that these DLC were temporarily removed because of pricing issues on Steam.

the only way to get the GTEL now, is to purchase the American power haulers product, and take advantage of the free download code on the bottom of the APH page. That will provide you with a downloadable copy of ts-2016 with the GTEL included, though it may be gone now because of TS-2017.

Where might the APH page be located?
