The 50s version includes more trackage than the modern one. Namely a couple little branch lines and the line from Paignton to Kingswear which today is a preserved steam railway.

I have both routes and basically, they are diesel and steam era layouts, with trackwork and period buildings and stations to match, this particular re-release also includes the extra Castles that were freebies in the monthly locomotive giveaways from DTG late 2015/early 2016, and is exceptional value for money and any fan of British Steam would be hard pressed to find many steam era routes built to such standards, heartily recommended. !!*ok*!!

It's likely about 45 or so miles, from Exeter to Kingswear. It is indeed picturesque with very nice stock. The little branch to Brixham has been quite popular with scenario builders. You'll want the Victory Works 14xx class for many scenarios. The route is worth every penny. A prize for all GWR/BR enthusiasts.
