After a long time in the freezer the project is taken up again.

I think they were all designated as LHF, but NS may have changed that at some point when they inherited them.

Southern in its splendid Tuxedo paint scheme:

They are LHF but perhaps had dual control stands?

Southern didn't order things with dual controls. They were strictly a sidewinder railroad.
