I just ran initiated Railworks.exe via the Steam shortcut, and after it was initiated, I started MSTS. WIndows 7 automatically changes the colour scheme to Windows basic when MSTS is running. However, I haven't seen TS2016 crash immediately after launching the game.

Would this be related to the change in display? It may seem obvious, but I'm curious about what could cause this issue, or why it would crash in the first place when doing this?

Which train simulator are you talking about, Microsoft Train Simulator or Train Simulator 2016 ?

Run MSTS in 32-bit and you should have no further issues when returning to Windows.

I run both often and without issue.
