GP38-2 Rolling stock

Unread postby JohnT » Fri May 13, 2016 6:02 am

Hi,
I keep finding scenarios, which reference the DTG GP38 DLC for both the engine and rolling stock. As this DLC can no longer be obtained by us aliens outside the USA, I use JC's version of the GP38. No problem, but cannot find suitable substitutes for the flatcars c/w steel pipes , steel coils etc. Can anyone point me to their equivalents elsewhere?

Have you looked on Golden Age of Rails page? He has a huge choice of rolling stock.

Doh,
thanks for reminding me. Just checked my T&D payware folder, and yes, there they where. Modern freight, c/w pipes/steel etc.
Now to see if its possible to substitute using RWTools and loading them with the right materials.

Funny how one thing leads to another.
Having found the T&D Modern freight DLC. I checked and spotted it came with bundled scenarios. So I tried the one that was placed into the Cajon Route, namely ". Modern Freight Cajon Pass Helper" This scenario started with you placed in SD40-2 loco which you had to attach to the back of a waiting consist. Having done that you then had to enter the lead loco ES44ac and drive the consist to Cajon Pass summit. Whereupon you then detach SD40-2 and bring them back to San Bernadino.
Now to the problem the lead locos involved are Kuju\RailsimulatorUS\railvehicles\diesel\es44ac\def2 & default and the problem is neither the horn or bell work from either the HUD or [Space] / [B]. and the cab light switch is inoperable.
Any thoughts ?

John if you have Stevens Pass you should have the BNSF GP38-2.

Doh,
yet again, looked in all the usual places RSC/DTG/S9BL/RSDL never thought of there.
Got so much stuff, confusion reigns supreme at my age.
Not been a total waste of time though, as being made to look at the Gt Northener Modern Freight which I already had. Paid dividends, didn't remem how good that stuff was.
So to you and Buzz, thanks for the pointers and jogging my memory.
As for the ES44ac problem, will try a few swaps to-day, seeing as I have quite a few options available.
