Over on the FB page burried under all the blurb about playing 2016 free this weekend, is an update notice about a complete revamp of the Academy feature.

Never used it, dont intend to, I just really object to an unwanted, forced 1 gb update which is then bound to break something else - it would be a first if it didnt. Personally think they could have put the time and energy into other projects.

List of improvements:

• Latest PZB developments added to BR189 electric locomotive
• Latest braking system developments added to SD70 diesel locomotive
• Control sensitivity improvements made to BR 4F steam locomotive
• 1000XP per scenario added (Over 40,000XP available to be gained from completing Academy)
• Progression order improved based on research of real driver training
• Improved scenario name convention and expanded descriptions to be more friendly and consistent
• Improved the display and consistency of in-game messaging to the driver
• Streamlined driver requirements depending on the purpose of the lesson
• Unified environmental conditions across TS Academy, and fixed minor scenery bugs
• Completely new translations for all languages (Spanish to be added at a later date)

I don´t object it. There is people using it as a set of tutorials.
But as you, I have never used and I don´t think I will use it ever.

That's two out of thousands? I presume if no one has been using this feature they would not have spent the time to work on it.

Is it really necessary to gripe about something you don't use and therefore know nothing about?

Maybe for you but not for a lot of other people. You remind me of this saying,
“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.”

Academy is very important, and you would be surprised at the percentage of users complete the scenarios.
For new users this is a must and allows the majority of them to get up to speed. (so to speak)
It may not be everyone's cup of tea but there is a reason it is there.

The update to Academy is content only and no other bit of content or core is touched in that update. (and that is not a first)

For the last 3 months we have been updating a range of packs, every pack is separate and does not touch any others. (unless they are linked with common files or dependencies as with twin packs where a loco pack needs updating because of a route update)

A great thing to see happening, well done!...
I have used the Academy and any " update " to any part of TS2016 is most welcomed by me and no doubt many in the TS2016 community.

Ditto and double-ditto, grfan3! and a for good measure.
