Hi I recently bought MWPB and downloaded the dash 8 fix from the file library, but the original lights and textures are still there, and I can't seem to disable the read only option for the files in 7z.
Does anyone know how to disable this in 7z?? !**conf**!

I have RW tools, but I don't use it much since I find Nitsujy's tutorial easy to use.But how do you disable read only for the texture in the ap file?

Start by reading the manual.

Yes, there is a specific RW-Tools manual for extracting ap files.

Would unpacking everything in the ap file help? Like :

1.Unpack everything into Miami folder, disable read only.

2.Delete everything in ap file, and move all the new ones back into he ap?

Or is this scenario a whatever floats your boat situation?

You don't need to move anything back into the .ap unless you need to save disk space. The game always reads what is NOT in the .ap first and if it finds it outside it ignores the .ap. If you want to leave the engine and just the textures outside it will read them and then go to the .ap for the rest of the stuff.

Yes. Never modify an .ap file.
